Dr Nikola Mrkšić graduated from the Cambridge Computer Science Tripos, completing his Master's degree with Professor Zoubin Ghahramani. He went on to complete a PhD at Cambridge, working with Professor Steve Young at the Dialogue Systems Group. Dr Nikola Mrkšić also worked as a machine learning researcher with the Apple Siri team in Cambridge and was the first technical hire at VocalIQ, a dialogue systems start up acquired by Apple.

He is now the Co-founder and CEO of PolyAI, a London-based machine learning startup building the next generation of conversational user interfaces. The general purpose platform enables the development of chatbots or voice-based agents capable of performing tasks across many application domains, using a plethora of world languages.
